




THE DWELLINGS COMMUNITY BUILDING
The Dwellings is a sustainable, high tech tiny house community that was created to reduce homelessness to those who do not meet requirement for most housing options in Tallahassee. RAM Construction was tasked with constructing the community center, which included the administration offices, an arts center with birch flush door cabinets and plastic laminate countertops, a woodshop, laundry facility, and dining hall with vaulted ceilings and heavy timber trusses and walls, a patio with shade pergola, and fire pit; a storage shed; a hydroponic PEMB greenhouse; and a water-pumping windmill. Scope of work included extensive Sitework and landscaping, slab on grade concrete foundation and sidewalks, metal fabrications, architectural woodwork/ timber framing, standing seam metal roofing, millwork and cabinetry, drywall, flooring, painting, MEP.
