FRED GEORGE GREENWAY PARK
Improvements to the Fred George Greenway Park consisted of sports & recreation and concesstion areas. Porous pavement was added to the parking areas, and stormwater infrastructure was improved. A regulation-sized baseball diamond for Little League games was built, and included dugouts with batting cages and bull pen, and a wireless scoreboard. A multipurpose field was built with combination football and soccer goals, one regulation and four youth fields. Bleachers and musco lighting were included in both field areas. A park building, with restrooms, concession stand, storage & maintenance rooms, and landscaping, was included.
Work also included connections to the existing trail system. The area included porous pavement, horse trailer parking, a map kiosk, a water source for animals.
